My walking pace was at the 96th percentile for my age of 57 as a woman at a pace of 13.07, with an improvement of 37 seconds from the previous mile walk. The mile was the second one for this evening. The average speed was 4.5 and a maximum speed was 5.9. I intentionally walked the first mile at a slower pace of 17.43, increasing the speed from 3.0 - 3.5 at .50 miles, 3.5 - 4.0 at .75 miles, and 4.1 at .90 miles, 4.2 at .92 miles, 4.3 at .94 miles, .94 at .96 miles, and 4.5 at .98 miles. I ran for one minute at each speed at 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, and 7.0 on the treadmill at the fitness center.
