There was a 5 second-improvement with the pace of 10:35 for the second mile from the fastest running-mile on Sunday. Treadmill: Run: .50 mi + .25 mi + .25 mi. = 1 mi Pace for the 2nd mile: 10:35 (Speed: 5.6 with a speed of up to 7.2 within the last minute of the mile)
My warm-up routine was implemented with a speed of 1.9, 2.9, 3.9, 4.9, 5.6, 6.9, 7.9, and 8.9 on a treadmill for each speed for 1 minute and 15 seconds with a brief break inserted in-between each change of the speed. I took at least a 45-minute break between each of the 2 miles. Before I worked with the speeds on a treadmill, I performed exercises in under three minutes. I performed warm-down exercises for under three minutes after running for two miles.
